Once a year, Deepkiran, Deep Foods’ Indian manufacturing company, hosts its annual Anand Utsav. In English, Anand Utsav literally translates to a “festival of joy”, and the event is indeed always quite joyful! Employees reflect on the year’s challenges and triumphs, and celebrate their many successes. Everyone spends the day giving speeches, eating food, and dancing. The Anand Utsav is a wonderful way to celebrate a year’s hard work.

In 2023 Deepkiran, Deep Food's Indian manufacturing company, started a wellness program for the 3,000+ manufacturing employees. During their breaks, employees can attend optional yoga, stretching and even dance sessions taught for free by local teachers in specific break rooms. The classes support both physical health and social connection. Yoga and dance sessions help employees reduce pain from repetitive manufacturing motions. The program also promotes employee friendships and bonding. It’s a good way to care for the body and spirit on the factory floor.
